Do I need the DroneMobile app or is the remote enough?

The PRO T13 includes both the LCD remote and DroneMobile compatibility. The remote works well for most situations (up to 3 miles in ideal conditions). DroneMobile adds smartphone control from anywhere with cell coverage, useful for downtown offices or high-rises, but it needs a telematics module and an active DroneMobile subscription after any included period.

Can Compustar work with my aftermarket alarm?

Often, yes. Compustar systems can integrate with many aftermarket alarms and security systems, but it depends on the alarm and your vehicle. We'll assess your existing setup before quoting and tell you if any additional parts or a different configuration are needed.

Remote Start Pricing, Compatibility & Installation Notes

Vehicle compatibility: Remote start cannot be installed on every vehicle. Eligibility and cost depend on make, model, year, trim, transmission and engine type. Manual-transmission vehicles are not eligible for safety reasons. We confirm compatibility before you commit.
Starting prices: “From” prices are for a standard install on an eligible vehicle, before tax. Push-button-start, diesel, hybrid/EV, European and luxury vehicles, and vehicles with factory immobilizers or security systems often need extra hardware and labour, quoted up front.
Additional parts for installation: Depending on the vehicle, installation may require a vehicle-specific bypass/data interface module, wiring harness, firmware programming, a hood-pin safety switch, or door-lock/trunk interface parts. Required parts are quoted before work begins.
Factory-fob (OEM) remote start: Uses your existing key fob, so range is limited to your fob’s range and you won’t get confirmation on the fob. Operation varies by vehicle (for example a lock-button sequence).
Pager (1-way / 2-way) systems: Come with their own remote and are priced separately. Stated ranges are best-case, line-of-sight; real-world range is shorter around buildings, parkades and interference. 2-way models confirm the command; 1-way models do not.
Smartphone systems (SmartStart / DroneMobile): Require a telematics module and an active subscription after any included period, plus cellular coverage at the vehicle’s location. Bluetooth control (about 150 ft) works without a subscription. Features vary by vehicle.
Safety: Never run your vehicle in an enclosed garage. The engine shuts off if the brake is pressed or the hood is opened, and the vehicle must be left in Park with doors locked. Local anti-idling bylaws may apply.
Warranty: Aftermarket installation does not, by itself, void your factory warranty, but damage caused by an aftermarket part or its installation may not be covered by the manufacturer. Dealer policies vary. Installation workmanship is covered by our shop warranty (see Terms).
